Eligibility for CCS

The CCS assessment

The Australian Government may provide financial assistance through the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to help with the cost of care. To apply, families need to complete a CCS assessment via their myGov account and provide Kids on Beaufort with their Customer Reference Numbers (CRNs) so we can link your details and apply the subsidy.

If you have questions about the process, our Centre Manager is always happy to assist, or you can contact the Family Assistance Office on 13 61 50 for more information.

Frequently
asked questions

We know choosing the right childcare centre comes with lots of questions.

Here are some of the ones we’re asked most often. If yours isn’t listed, our friendly team will be happy to help.

Kids on Beaufort welcomes children from 6 weeks to 5 years.

Our Big Kids on Beaufort program is for children 3+, running a preschool program from 8am–2.45pm.

We always meet or exceed required educator-to-child ratios. In fact, we have an additional educator in every room, which means more personal attention for your child.

You’re welcome to book from just one day a week. However, we recommend at least two days so children can settle in, form strong bonds, and get the most from our programs.

Normal fees apply for booked days, including public holidays and absences due to illness or holidays.

If your child becomes unwell while with us, we’ll contact you straight away using the details on your enrolment form.

Yes, we encourage all families to book a tour. It’s the best way to see our spaces, meet our educators, and ask any questions before making your decision.

Our free orientation program runs over one week and is tailored to your child’s needs. It’s a chance to get to know the educators, discuss routines, and help your child feel comfortable and secure.

Yes, all meals are freshly prepared on site by our qualified cooks. We provide breakfast (before 7.30am), morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and late snacks (after 5pm).

Dietary, cultural, and medical needs are all catered for.

All staff hold First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training. Action plans are put in place for each child, and outside food is not permitted to minimise cross-contamination risks.

Our educators hold Cert III and Bachelor of Early Childhood qualifications.

All of our staff have current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training, plus Working with Children Checks and Police Clearances.

Yes. We follow the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework, inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy.

This means our curriculum is play-based, creative, and child-led.

We work closely with families and specialists to provide tailored support. With our extra educator in each room, we’re able to adapt learning and care to meet each child’s unique needs.

We use our OWNA app to share updates, photos, and daily information, while also prioritising face-to-face chats at drop-off and pick-up.

Routines are flexible and age-appropriate. Babies follow their home routines in Crawford, toddlers begin blending into group routines in the Beaufort Rooms, and older rooms introduce more structure to support independence and school readiness.

We provide all meals, so your child only needs a few personal items each day:

  • Nursery (Crawford Room, 0–2 years): A bag with spare clothes, nappies if required, bottles, formula or breast milk, and any comfort items such as a dummy or favourite toy.
  • Toddlers (Beaufort 1 & 2, 2–3 years): A bag with spare clothes, a hat, and any comfort items your child may need. We provide nappies and wipes if required.
  • Older Toddlers (Waterford Room, 3+ years): a bag with spare clothes, a hat, and anything else your child might need for comfort or routine.
  • Big Kids on Beaufort (3–5 years): Children bring their own lunchbox for morning tea, ‘crunch and sip,’ and lunch, plus a bag with spare clothes and a hat.

Educators will guide you on anything specific for your child during orientation.

Yes. Our 3-year-old Program supports your child’s growing independence, curiosity, and confidence through play-based learning.

With a focus on communication, creativity, and social skills, children explore new ideas, build friendships, and develop a love of learning in a warm and nurturing environment.

We offer yoga, sport, Jiggle Jam sessions all-inclusive in your fees at no additional cost.

We see families as collaborators in their child’s learning journey. We value your input and welcome open communication, as well as participation in special events and celebrations.
