You want your child to feel safe, nurtured and encouraged to explore. At Kids on Beaufort, we focus on what matters most – genuine care, familiar faces and learning that grows with your child. That’s why families trust us to be their home away from home.

With an additional educator in every room, your child gets more personalised attention and support.

This allows us to nurture small groups, give children space when they need it, and build strong bonds that help them thrive.

From yoga and sport to nature walks in the local community, your child will enjoy hands-on experiences that expand their world, encourage healthy movement, and spark new interests.

How we learn in the Waterfood Room

Our Waterford room is where curious minds thrive. Designed for children aged three to five, it’s an inspiring and dynamic environment where preschoolers extend their thinking, creativity, and independence as they prepare for the next stage of their learning journey.

Guided by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, our educators create meaningful experiences that foster problem-solving, collaboration, and a genuine love of learning. Every day is filled with play, projects, and opportunities to build the skills they’ll carry into school and beyond.

Frequently asked questions

When choosing a preschool program for 3 year olds, we understand you’re bound to have questions.

Here are some of our most asked questions about our Waterford Room.

Don’t see the answer to your question? Our friendly team would love to help out.

The Waterford Room is designed for children aged 2–5 years (with an average age of 3) who are ready for a preschool-style environment that gently prepares them for school.

We have an additional educator in every room, which means smaller groups and more personalised support.

Our play-based approach, inspired by Reggio Emilia principles, balances child-led discovery with teacher guidance to nurture independence, creativity, and real school readiness.

To us, school readiness goes beyond letters and numbers. It’s about helping your child develop social skills, emotional resilience, motor skills, confidence, and independence.

We want them to feel capable, curious, and excited to take the next step.

Each day includes a mix of play-based learning, creative projects, literacy and numeracy foundations, outdoor exploration, and group activities.

Children also enjoy incursions such as yoga and sport, as well as excursions into the local Inglewood community.

We know the transition can feel big, so we offer orientation sessions to help families ease in gradually. Our educators take the time to get to know your child, their interests, and their routines, so they feel safe, supported, and ready to explore.

We see ourselves as partners in your child’s early education. You’ll receive regular updates and insights into your child’s learning, but we also love those everyday conversations at drop-off and pick-up.
Families are always welcome to share ideas, join in special events, and be part of our strong community.
