Our approach in the Beaufort 1 room
Our Beaufort 1 room is where children aged 18 months – 2 years take their first big steps into independence. It’s a nurturing, play-filled space designed for your child who is beginning to explore their social world and navigate those big feelings.
With patient guidance and calm reassurance, our educators support your child as they discover new ways to express themselves, make friends, and grow in confidence.
Learning through emotions
This is a time when emotions can feel overwhelming. In Beaufort 1, we help toddlers find safe ways to express themselves, begin to recognise feelings in others, and practice empathy and turn-taking – the building blocks of positive relationships.
Curiosity in action
Curiosity leads the way in our toddler program. Children might experiment with paint, explore the block corner, or head outdoors for nature play.
Every experience is designed to encourage exploration while building communication, resilience, and joy in discovery.
A safe place to grow
Younger toddlers thrive on consistency. Our educators work together to ensure every child feels safe, comforted, and understood — whether they need a quiet moment to settle emotions or encouragement to join in group play.
