What makes our toddler daycare unique

Supporting toddlers through big emotions, growing independence, and playful learning every day.

You want your child to feel safe, nurtured and encouraged to explore. At Kids on Beaufort, we focus on what matters most – genuine care, familiar faces and learning that grows with your child. That’s why families trust us to be their home away from home.

Calm, consistent care

Our educators use a gentle, consistent approach — getting down to your child’s level, making eye contact, and offering reassurance. When big emotions happen, toddlers are given a safe space to calm down with caring support.

Social learning

These are the years when children start learning how to play with others. Our program supports positive interactions, helping toddlers share, take turns, and develop empathy for their peers.

Curiosity at the centre

Every day is filled with hands-on, play-based activities that spark imagination, creativity, and problem-solving. Our rooms are designed as ‘third teachers’ — spaces that inspire exploration and discovery.

Little steps, big milestones

From washing their hands to caring for their belongings, we encourage toddlers to practise self-help skills in a supportive way, building confidence and independence.

A home away from home

Our warm, welcoming rooms give toddlers a true sense of belonging. With an additional educator in every room, your child receives more personal attention and support to reach their own goals and milestones.

Mind, body, and heart

We focus on the whole child — not just learning, but social connection, emotional wellbeing, and healthy development through active play, nutritious meals, and positive daily routines.

Frequently asked questions

We know choosing the right place for your toddler is a big decision.

Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions parents ask about our Beaufort 2 rooms.

If you’d like to know more, we’re always happy to chat in person or over the phone.

Beaufort 1 is designed for younger toddlers who are just beginning this stage of development, while Beaufort 2 supports older toddlers who are ready for more complex play and activities. Both follow the same warm, play-based philosophy. Your child can also transition from Beaufort 1 into Beaufort 2 with guidance from our educators.

Our educators use a calm, consistent approach — getting down to the child’s level, making eye contact, and offering reassurance. We never use negative reinforcement or punishment. Instead, children are given a safe space to settle their feelings while being supported by a caring, composed adult. This gentle, respectful approach helps toddlers learn to regulate emotions and feel secure.

Every room at Kids on Beaufort, including our Beaufort Rooms 1 & 2, has one more educator than required by regulations. This means children receive more individual attention and educators have the flexibility to support small groups or provide one-on-one education and care when needed.

Learning at this age is all about play. Children might explore painting, block building, messy play, or outdoor adventures. These experiences are carefully designed to encourage curiosity, develop social skills, and build confidence.

We meet each child where they are. Educators model language, encourage turn-taking, and create small group experiences to gently build confidence.

For children who need extra support, we work closely with families.

We provide nutritious meals and snacks, so children only need to bring a water bottle, hat, and any comfort items they might need (like a favourite toy or blanket).

Spare clothes are also helpful, as toddlers love messy play and outdoor exploration.
