What makes our toddler daycare unique

We specialise in guiding toddlers through their emerging independence, through a playful learning journey.

You want your child to feel safe, nurtured and encouraged to explore. At Kids on Beaufort, we focus on what matters most – genuine care, familiar faces and learning that grows with your child. That’s why families trust us to be their home away from home.

Gentle, steady guidance

Our educators champion a consistently calm approach, which means connecting with your child face-to-face, offering reassurance, and respecting their feelings. When overwhelming emotions arise, we provide a protected space for your toddler to regulate, supported by empathetic care.

Growing social skills

At this age, children are learning how to be part of a little community. Our program encourages kind interactions, helping toddlers learn to share, take turns, and build early friendships in their own time.

Curiosity leading the way

Our days are shaped by rich, hands-on play that invites children to imagine, create, and problem-solve. Every corner of the room is thoughtfully set up to spark interest — the environment becomes a teacher in itself.

Small steps towards independence

Whether it’s washing their hands or looking after their belongings, we gently encourage toddlers to try things for themselves. These tiny moments add up to big leaps in confidence.

A true sense of belonging

Our rooms feel warm and familiar, a place where toddlers settle in easily and feel part of something special. With an additional educator in every room, your child receives more attention, more support, and more meaningful connection throughout the day.

Mind, body, and heart

We care for the whole child. That means nurturing emotional wellbeing, supporting social connection, encouraging active play, and providing nourishing meals and routines that help toddlers thrive.

Our approach in the Beaufort 2 room

Our Beaufort 2 room is designed for older toddlers aged 2 to 3 – a lively, engaging space where children are ready to take on new challenges and enjoy more complex play. Located upstairs, the room is set up with equipment and activities designed to spark curiosity, stretch imaginations, and encourage independence. Here, your child is supported to take more initiative, make choices, and begin exploring the world in deeper and more connected ways.

Frequently asked questions

We know choosing the right place for your toddler is a big decision.

We know choosing the right place for your toddler is a big decision. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions parents ask about our Beaufort 1 and Beaufort 2 rooms.

If you’d like to know more, we’re always happy to chat in person or over the phone.

Both rooms cater for toddlers in the 2–3 age group. Beaufort 1 is designed for younger toddlers who are just beginning this stage of development, while Beaufort 2 supports older toddlers who are ready for more complex play and activities. Both follow the same warm, play-based philosophy. Your child can also transition from Beaufort 1 into Beaufort 2 with guidance from our educators.

Our educators use a calm, consistent approach — getting down to the child’s level, making eye contact, and offering reassurance. We never use negative reinforcement or punishment. Instead, children are given a safe space to settle their feelings while being supported by a caring, composed adult. This gentle, respectful approach helps toddlers learn to regulate emotions and feel secure.

Every room at Kids on Beaufort, including our Beaufort Rooms 1 u0026amp; 2, has one more educator than required by regulations. This means children receive more individual attention and educators have the flexibility to support small groups or provide one-on-one education and care when needed.

Learning at this age is all about play. Children might explore painting, block building, messy play, or outdoor adventures. These experiences are carefully designed to encourage curiosity, develop social skills, and build confidence.

We meet each child where they are. Educators model language, encourage turn-taking, and create small group experiences to gently build confidence.rnrnFor children who need extra support, we work closely with families.

We provide nutritious meals and snacks, so children only need to bring a water bottle, hat, and any comfort items they might need (like a favourite toy or blanket).rnrnSpare clothes are also helpful, as toddlers love messy play and outdoor exploration.
